Cosmetology Course Curriculum

The Alabama Board of Cosmetology requires student's receive 1500-clock hours
in theory and lab demonstration before application to the state board examination.  Total  State Board
Examination Fee is $150.  You are required to take and pass the written portion of the exam before
you will be allowed to take the practical segment.  Once you have completed the entire 1500 clock
hours, this fee is paid to the Alabama Board of Cosmetology before an examination date is
scheduled.    

Students can complete the full course of Cosmetology or Esthetics in 12-14 months.   
Tuition and Fees for either program is $9800.00, which includes kit and books.  The Manicuring (Nail
Tech) course can be completed in 7-9 months with a total cost of $4900.00   Enrollment fee is $30
(cash only) for all programs, and is due before the first day of class.

New classes begin January 9th and 10th,  2012!

We're also gearing up for our two brand-new programs.......Manicuring (Nail Technology and Esthetics
(Skin Care).  Both programs are fully accredited and financial aid is available for those who qualify.

Cosmetology Course Curriculum
The methods of instruction used in this program are theory, demonstration and practical experience.
The SESC Cosmetology program consists of the four levels of training:
Level I (0-300 clock hours)
This level is solely devoted to theory and practical on mannequins.  Advanced students can transfer
to the floor after 200 classroom hours completed. Under complete supervision, this level covers……
