Mission Statement:
Southeastern School of Cosmetology's mission is to prepare students to take and
pass the Alabama State Board of Cosmetology examination and also prepare students
for the workforce. The aims and services of the program are to provide instruction and
practice in all phases of cosmetology, Nail Technology, and Esthetics; and to
continuously strive toward the educational advancement of students, so they will be
able to compete in the workplace.
Southeastern School of Cosmetology, (SESC), has fully equipped lab areas and
classrooms. We offer new classes every 3-months: January, April, July, and October.

Accreditation for a private institution is a major stride. It allows us to help those in the
most need and it tells a story about who we are. It requires that we maintain certain
standards that are equivalent to those of state-run higher education institutions of
learning. We are proud of our accreditation and we don't take it lightly.

Our graduates go on to work for national chain salons, private salons, and many go into
business for themselves by opening their own salons. Most of our students already
have employment lined up before graduation.
We highly emphasize theory in the classroom, for this is the most difficult aspect of
cosmetology to grasp. We have very high State Board passage rates with the Alabama
Board of Cosmetology.
We also encourage our students to enter student competitions at major regional and
national hair shows throughout each year. Several of our current and past students
have placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at national hair show competitions, and we are proud of
their accomplsihments.
