
| Schedule for Day Students Tuesday through Saturday 8am-2pm Schedule for Night Students Monday through Thursday 5pm-10pm and Every Saturday 8am-2pm Admissions The Alabama Board of Cosmetology requires that all students be at least 16-years-old and have completed the 10th grade. Your transcript must show that you were promoted to the 11th grade. Submit a copy of your diploma, GED, or high school transcript. If you do not have a high school diploma or a GED, you must take and pass an "ability to benefit" test in order to qualify for federal financial aid. Licensing Upon completion of the cosmetology program, students will have to take and pass the Alabama Board of Cosmetology Exam, in order to become a licensed cosmetologist. Transfer Policy Students can transfer clock hours to/from SESC to/from other cosmetology institutions, public or private. Tuition will be adjusted or refunded accordingly. For every full semester of cosmetology from a public, two-year institution, students will receive 375-clock hours towards the 1500 clock hours needed to complete the course. | Enrollment is underway for the July class, but don't wait until the last minute! New Classes Start Monday and Tuesday, July 14th and 15th, 2008. Day and Evening Classes Available. Please Call 205-323-1011 for further information! If you do not have a high school diploma and would like to qualify for financial aid, you must take and pass the "ability to benefit" exam, better known as C-pat. The next C-pat exam is scheduled TBA. There is no fee for this exam. Please bring a legal form of ID. Call 205-323-1011 for further information. Also, if you plan on attending classes in July, please start getting your paperwork together now. Drop by and pick up a 2008-2009 Pell Grant Application, or go online to www.fafsa.ed.gov and fill out your financial aid application now. You will need your 2007, 1040 tax returns to complete the income section on the 2008-09 Financial Aid Form. All paperwork must be completed and processed before the first day of class. For assistance in filling out your application, or if you have specific questions about the application, call 205-323-1011, and ask to speak to the financial aid administrator. If you can't get through to the FAA's office, leave a message; the FAA will get back with you.
